🩺 WHO Condemns Brutal Israeli Raid on Humanitarian Facility in Gaza

Deir al-Balah, Gaza — The World Health Organization (WHO) has denounced a violent raid by Israeli forces on one of its humanitarian warehouses in central Gaza, which was serving as a refuge for displaced civilians and staff members.

🚨 Forced Evacuation Amid Crossfire

According to a WHO statement, the Israeli army stormed the building and forcibly evacuated women and children on foot toward Al-Mawasi, despite heavy fighting in the area. The raid disrupted efforts to provide safety and medical support amid the humanitarian crisis.

🚧 Staff Handcuffed and Stripped

Male staff members and their families were reportedly handcuffed, stripped of their clothing, and interrogated at gunpoint. WHO confirmed the detention of two employees and two family members. Three were later released, while one remains in Israeli custody.

🏃‍♂️ High-Risk Evacuation Mission

In response to the incident, the organization carried out a high-risk mission to evacuate 32 individuals from the facility. However, WHO reported that the homes of most staff members are no longer accessible due to ongoing hostilities and military actions in the region.

🌍 Growing International Outrage

This event marks another serious violation against humanitarian infrastructure in Gaza, drawing widespread condemnation from the international community. WHO continues to call for protection of humanitarian staff and unimpeded access to critical aid services.
