The Iranian side announced the eighteenth phase of Operation True Promise 3. This operation involves multiple joint airstrikes against targets in Israel in response to Israeli shelling of the Islamic Republic.
Iranian sources reported explosions at Israel's main Ben Gurion Airport.
The press service of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps stated that military targets and operational support centers of the Israeli army were targeted, using large numbers of Shahed-136 drones, as well as solid- and liquid-fueled missiles.
It added that the drone squadron "carried out continuous combat missions in the occupied Palestinian territories."
These drones were used, among other means, to disrupt air and missile defense systems.
Reports indicate that at least 18 Iranian missiles penetrated Israel's air and missile defense systems, hitting targets in and around Tel Aviv, as well as Haifa in the north of the country.
Media sources in the region indicate that they have counted at least 22 missile launches.
Israel launched its aggression against Iran on June 13.
The initial stated goal was to prevent Tehran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
However, Israeli officials now explicitly state that their goal is to overthrow the current government in Iran.
