The Israeli military announced on Monday that it had launched airstrikes on military facilities in Kermanshah, western Iran, on the eleventh day of the war between the two countries.

The military added in a statement that the air force "is currently carrying out airstrikes on military infrastructure in Kermanshah, Iran."

Meanwhile, the Israeli military announced that Iran was continuing its missile attacks on Israel.

The Israeli military added that it had redeployed its defense systems "to intercept the threat."

Sirens sounded again in several areas of Israel, and residents were initially asked to take cover and remain there until further notice.

Restrictions were later lifted. There were no immediate reports of casualties.

Israel launched large-scale airstrikes on Iranian targets on June 13, claiming the goal was to prevent the country from developing nuclear weapons, an accusation Iran has long denied.

Iran responded with waves of missile and drone strikes on Israel.
